I finally finished my second book "Meet Me at the Rainbow Bridge", which I've been working on for almost two years. I began to realize that the many interruptions which life can bring all have a purpose. While they can be frustrating while we are trying to accomplish something, perhaps they serve as time stops so we can gain some experiences we need to positively accomplish our goals. Some things cannot be rushed. Trying to write a book takes some thought each step of the way. It's not enough to come up with a title and chapter headings. You then have to think about how you want to present your story to your readers in such a way that it flows. It has to make sense, the characters have to work together, and the message needs to intertwine throughout the span of time you have set. It's almost like weaving a tapestry. You hope everything comes together at the end. I'm not sure about other writers, but I'm never quite happy with my finished product until I see it in print. There are always different ways you can express thoughts. Readers have different life experiences, so words can be interpreted in unexpected ways based on those experiences. Words are imperfect, but it's impossible to try to provide pristine clarity. At some point a writer has to say, "I'm done". So I hope you enjoy the message you hear in my books. If you do, then I know that I've accomplished a tiny piece of "good" with the life I've been given. Peace.
